Mood Boards

July 1, 2014

I recently found Canva thanks to some link about blogging tools. I have been following so so so many new blogs lately I honestly can’t remember who it was but whoever you are, I love you, thank you! As you all know i’ve been teaching summer school lately and the program we’re using this year is seriously grade intensive. We’re on week 3 of the remediation and my brain is beginning to fry! Thankfully it’s the last week and after today we only have 2 days left and then a week of testing, but man am I getting antsy.

I needed something to do in between grading all of these assignments so I figured i’d make some mood boards for my blog because eventually my friend Chris is going to design it for me! So i’m pretty excited about that, and I think these came out pretty cute for being the first time i’ve ever done this. I basically went through my tumblr and found images that matched my ~aesthetic~. These are radically different from the theme i’ve got going on right now and I think that’s pretty exciting, i’d like to accurately reflect myself as the pastel goth we all know I am.Β 1 2 3 Obviously they’re not perfect but they’ll serve my purpose nicely I think. It was like making a pinterest board into a legit collage. Also Canva is absolutely the bees knees and super easy to use, I can definitely see myself putting this to use in the future to not make my posts look so crappy.

What do you think? Are mood boards something you’re into?

Until next time,
Meagan

I love your boards! I have never made a mood board before, but I may have to play around with it just for fun. I’m in the planning stages of redoing both my kitchen and bedroom, and I think these would be a blast to fiddle with!

Oh man I know! When we get our house i’m going mood board crazy! The more I played around with them the easier it got to make it look cohesive too.

I’ve never made any mood boards myself, but I’ve seen them floating around the web and enjoy them. I love everything about yours. Maybe when I finally get my own place and have to do some decorating, I’ll play around with making a mood board.

They’re so much fun, i’m having trouble not doing them for stupid things. They’re also really soothing which is what I needed most right now.
