Sup blog! How is it going? Despite the fact that it has only been two days since i’ve done any blog things I still feel like ‘Oh no! I’ve abandoned the blog! And I was doing so well too!” That’s when I realize i’m a crazy internet person and 2 days does seem like a long time but not when you’ve been doing IMPORTANT THINGS! By that I mean I did three straight days that contained ComedySportz stuff and then we left for Laredo on Saturday afternoon when that was all over.  So we’ve been hanging out doing family stuff and i’ve been eating a lot of food which is very important to me, especially when it’s my future mother in laws delicious enchiladas (seriously I hit in the in law jack pot, there is so much delicious food going on right now.)

But let’s get down to a more organized game of catch up shall we?

Reading: For those of you that follow me on instagram and or goodreads you are maybe a tiny bit aware that I have acquired (and now demolished) the second book of the Daughter of Smoke and Bone Trilogy. AND IT WAS SO GOOD. I stayed up until 3am to finish it Saturday because I was DYING. I’m still dying to know what’s going on. I’m now halfway through the third and final book Dreams of Gods and Monsters and there is so much information and I honestly don’t know how the next 300 pages could possibly solve all of this crap because Taylor keeps adding more and more! She’s too good.

Listening: To the sweet sounds of Mando playing a full set of drums very loudly. He had planned to get some recording in while we’re in Laredo but now he can’t find his drum mics and he’s pretty sure he left them at home. I’m currently two rooms away from him because even noise canceling headphones don’t hold up against all that noise.

Watching: We went and saw Captain America: The Winter Soldier tonight and it was SO GOOD. I’m currently trying to convince myself that I don’t need to go anywhere near that tag on tumblr though even though i’d really like to read some Bucky feels. I’m just going to nope on out of that before I even begin. I’m very excited about all the teasers at the end of the movie though, they make me wish i’d read more X-Men growing up.

Doing: This. Blawgin. And taking a break from reading for right now. I got my annual eye exam today and my eyesight has gotten slightly worse. The doctor made a joke about how I should just stay away from reading and i’ll be fine, he just laughed at me when I told him I was in the middle of a 600 page book and I had at least 10 more on my reading list for the summer. Also i’m an English Teacher so so much for that.

Wanting: Our Michigan trip to be here already! I know that trip will also signal the end of school but I can’t wait to see everyone again and just see Michigan itself. It’s so beautiful in the summer time and the weather is so mild, especially in comparison to what it is here in Laredo this week. 104 today! I mean seriously! Although I am technically loving this lack of humidity they have going on here. It’s pretty great.

Loving: The food! Food glorious food! See this is why I have no self control, because food is too good. I’m also loving all the wonderful family time that comes with this food. Getting to see my second (future in law) family is so wonderful and so relaxing! We’ll be back here in another week after we leave because the baby will be here! So many fun things this summer and i’m keeping plenty busy and still getting all my beauty sleep.

That’s what’s going on with me this week. Serious family time and relaxation and i’m loving every minute of it. What’s going on with y’all?

Until next time.

I’ll have to add Daughter of Smoke and Bone to my to-read list. It sound familiar, so I may already have done so! That list is never ending.
I totally agree Winter Soldier was AMAZING. I figured I would like it; I did not expect to come out thinking, ‘I would happily turn around and watch that again.’ Good stuff.
I’m so with you on food. We are going camping this weekend for our big annual family camping trip, and that is always jam packed with delicious noms. YUM!

It’s definitely worth the read! The cover almost turned me off because I really do judge, but i’m glad I pushed past that.
That trip sounds like tons of fun too! I was really hoping to go camping this summer but I really don’t know when we’ll have time with all the traveling we’re already doing. Hopefully soon though!
