I’m going to keep it simple this month and i’m not going to even write down half of the thins I want to possibly happen because those are just extras and I don’t need them clogging up my “actual things to make happen” list.
- Stick to my macros: A friend of mine who is a dietitian was kind enough to calculate my macros for me (macronutreints: Calories, Protein, Fat, Carbs) so I could have some guidelines for healthy eating. I knew I wanted to change but all of the things i’ve tried in the past weren’t working for me and I finally realized it’s because I didn’t have rigid boundaries and goals. I know that if you’re reading this blog you’re probably going “Well no shit Meagan do you pay attention to you at all!?” But for some reason those were some weird realizations to piece together. So this month i’m focusing on a) tracking EVERYTHING I eat, even on cheat days and b) hitting my macros every day. The other thing I like about this is that I have a range for all of these things. I don’t have an exact number for each goal I have a “between this and this” and that is so helpful and takes away so much stress. I’ve been doing this since the first and i’ve been killing it! I also am trying out intuitive eating along with it so i’m making sure to have lots of different flavor profiles with me at all times so I have options. So far so good!
2. 30 or more Active Minutes a day: Ideally this will come from actual exercise but since I got my fitbit I realized it records my “active minutes” and y’all, how depressing. FOR REAL. So my goal is 30 active minutes a day now. The thing is just figuring out all the minutes i’m wasting and how to use them better. So far i’ve made this happen twice. WHOOPS. But now i’m aware of that and WORKING ON IT.
3. Say No: I’ve got a purposefully busy month with ComedySportz activities so now my challenge is balancing out the rest of my life. I need to spend time with friends, family, my fiance, and build time for relaxing at home sooooo basically in order to maintain balance between my jobs and my life I need to really practice saying no to additional obligations or to things that don’t excite me. This is not to say i’m planning on holing up in my house every day i’m not at ComedySportz but it does mean I need to be thoughtful about how i’m spending my other time and i’m going to have to plan out friendship time in advance as well/.
AND THAT’S IT! Basically pat attention to my physical health and my mental health and that’s it. IT. I want to read books, I want to listen to podcasts, I want to now spend as much time watching TV, I want to do a bunch of things but the things above are what I *am doing*.
